Acer Palmatum: Jerre Schwartz

The Japanese maple 'Jerre Schwartz' has an upright but compact growing habit. Its wide feathery leaves are dark green, fading into bronze with a pinkish hue in the spring. As autumn begins the leaves then turn into a deeper red. There are also small flowers in spring followed by winged red seed pods in the summer. In general it prefers a sheltered spot with partial or full sun.
