Acer Palmatum: Orange Dream

The Japanese maple 'Orange Dream' is bushy style medium sized tree. Its lobed leaves are striking in various colours depending on season. In spring they are a bright yellow turning to a greenish hue in summer. Finally in autumn they become a fantastic orangey yellow colour hence giving its name. After they fall in winter they reveal a striking green stem. There are inconspicuous purple flowers in spring followed by dark red fruits in autumn. This tree generally likes a sheltered spot with full or partial sun.
