Acer Palmatum: Orangeola

This Japanese maple has a mound forming growing habit. It produces fine feathery leaves of a dark orange-red colour in spring. This colour darkens to a deeper red- green during the summer. It then turns turns to a much brighter orange during autumn before falling. It has small purple flowers during spring that turn to fruit during autumn. It generally likes a sheltered spot with full or partial sun.
