One of the more big striking Japanese maples, 'Oridono-nishiki' is variegated and has a dense upright growing habit. Its leaves are deep cut and pointed with a mixtures of green, creamy white and pink colours. After spring and summer these leaves then turn to colours of golden yellow, oranges and reds. It generally prefers a sheltered spot with partial or full sun.
