Wildlife & Ecological Notes

Small spring flowers offer nectar for early pollinators including bees and hoverflies. Winged seeds are occasionally taken by birds and small mammals.

The layered canopy provides shelter for small birds and contributes to broader garden biodiversity when planted alongside other specimen trees and shrubs.
