Acer Palmatum: Shaina

The Japanese maple 'Shaina' has a compact and dense upright growing habit. A sport of the widely popular variety of acer 'Bloodgood'. It has slender deep cut and pointed lobed leaves. They are a bright red in spring which deepen in colour throughout summer. During autumn they brighten up again to a vivid red before falling. It likes a sheltered spot with partial or full sun.
