Planting Instructions
Plant Hardy Kiwi ‘Ken’s Red’ (Actinidia arguta) in a sheltered, sunny position with fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Provide a strong trellis, pergola or wire support for its vigorous climbing growth. Avoid frost pockets and waterlogged ground.
Water the pot before planting. Dig a hole wider than the rootball and plant at the same depth as in the pot. Backfill, firm gently and water thoroughly. Tie new shoots loosely to the support and mulch around the base, keeping mulch clear of the stem.
