Apple Tree: Malus Domestica: Elstar

'Elstar' is a newer apple variety from Holland. A dessert apple tree that crops heavily, stores well and has excellent juiciness and flavour. The apples are medium sized, with a green-yellow colour flushed with a bright red. It crops from late September through October and is in pollinator group 3, so it will require another pollinator. It produces small white-pink flower blossom in mid spring. It is fairly hardy but a more sheltered spot with full sun is an ideal position.
