While self-fertile, planting with another Group 3 apple (such as Cox's Orange Pippin or Discovery) will significantly increase yields. Water regularly for the first two seasons. Feed with balanced fertiliser in early spring. Prune in winter when dormant.

Planting Instructions
Plant in autumn or early spring in moist, well-drained, fertile soil enriched with organic matter. Position in full sun in a sheltered spot — Granny Smith performs best in warm summers. While self-fertile, planting with another Group 3 apple (such as Cox's Orange Pippin or Discovery) will significantly increase yields. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball, incorporate compost, firm well and water thoroughly. Stake for two years. Mulch around the base. Water regularly for the first two seasons and during dry spells. Feed with balanced fertiliser in early spring. Prune in winter when dormant.
