Planting & Care
Plant immediately upon arrival between November and April while dormant. Soak roots in water for 2-3 hours before planting. Dig a trench 30cm deep and wide, and space plants 33cm apart (3 per metre). Spread roots out in the trench, backfill with soil mixed with organic matter, and firm well. Water thoroughly after planting. Keep well-watered during the first growing season. Feed with a balanced fertiliser in spring. Trim once or twice a year (late spring and late summer) to maintain shape and encourage bushy growth. Use secateurs rather than hedge trimmers to avoid cutting through leaves.

Planting Instructions
Plant bare root Cherry Laurel between November and April while dormant. Cherry Laurel is highly adaptable and will thrive in most soils — including clay, chalk, and sandy soils — in full sun to full shade. It is one of the most versatile hedging plants for difficult sites.
Space 3 plants per metre for a dense hedge. Soak roots for 2–3 hours before planting. Dig a trench or individual holes 30cm deep and wide, spread roots without bending, backfill with soil mixed with organic matter, firm well and water thoroughly.
Keep well-watered during the first growing season. Trim once or twice a year — late spring and late summer — to maintain shape. Use secateurs rather than a hedge trimmer to avoid cutting through the large leaves, which can cause browning.
