Planting Instructions

Plant in full sun to partial shade in well-drained soil. Cupressocyparis leylandii 'Pyramidalis' is highly adaptable and tolerates most soil types, including clay and chalk, provided drainage is adequate. Space 1.5–2m apart for hedging or plant as a standalone specimen. Avoid waterlogged conditions.

Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep root system. Mulch around the base to retain moisture. Trim once or twice annually in late spring and late summer to maintain shape. Once established, it is highly drought-tolerant and largely self-sufficient.

Supplied as a premium specimen at approximately 3.5m in height in a 110-litre pot. A mature, well-established plant ready to make an immediate impact in the landscape.

Annual growth rate: 60–90cm in optimal conditions. Eventual height: 15–20m. Narrow columnar habit with a spread of 3–5m. Responds well to clipping and can be maintained at any desired height.
