Once established, it's drought-tolerant. Feed with a balanced fertiliser in spring. Can be grown as a single-stemmed tree or coppiced annually in spring to maintain a shrub-like form with juvenile foliage (which is more silvery-blue). Stake young trees for the first 1-2 years. In exposed locations, provide shelter from cold winds.

Planting Instructions

Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball, backfill, firm, and water thoroughly. Stake for the first 1-2 years. Water regularly during the first growing season. Once established it is drought tolerant. Feed with a balanced fertiliser in spring.
