Planting Instructions
Plant at 3–5 plants per metre for a dense hedge. Griselinia thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil. Tolerates coastal exposure, wind, and salt spray better than most hedging species. Avoid waterlogged conditions.
Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and to the same depth. Backfill, firm in well, and water thoroughly. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Water regularly during the first growing season. Trim in late spring or early summer to maintain shape and encourage dense growth.

Wildlife & Ecological Notes
Griselinia littoralis produces small yellow flowers in spring which attract bees and other pollinators. The dense evergreen canopy provides excellent year-round shelter, nesting cover, and roosting habitat for garden birds. Particularly valuable in coastal and exposed gardens where other hedging plants struggle to establish.
