Cherry Laurel is incredibly adaptable and thrives in virtually any soil type and light condition, from full sun to deep shade. Plant 33cm apart (3 per metre) for hedging. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and incorporate organic matter for best results. Water regularly during the first growing season. Trim once or twice a year — late spring and late summer — using secateurs rather than hedge trimmers to avoid browning cut leaves. Apply a general-purpose fertiliser in spring.

Planting Instructions
Cherry Laurel thrives in virtually any soil type and light condition, from full sun to deep shade. Avoid waterlogged ground. Plant 3 per metre (33cm apart) for a dense hedge. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and to the same depth, incorporate organic matter, backfill, firm well, and water thoroughly. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Water regularly during the first growing season. Trim once or twice a year — late spring and late summer — using secateurs rather than hedge trimmers to avoid browning cut leaves. Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring to encourage vigorous growth.
