Planting Instructions
Plant in full sun to partial shade in moist well-drained slightly acidic to neutral soil. Magnolias dislike waterlogged conditions and exposed cold winds. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball, incorporate organic matter, backfill, firm, and water thoroughly.
Mulch generously around the base to retain moisture and protect the shallow root system. Water regularly during the first two growing seasons. Minimal pruning required — remove any damaged wood immediately after flowering. Avoid pruning in autumn or winter.
