Growing & Care Guide
Planting: Portuguese Laurel thrives in most well-drained soils and tolerates both full sun and partial shade. Plant 33cm apart (3 per metre) for hedging. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and mix in organic matter.
Watering: Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep root system. Once established, it's relatively drought-tolerant.
Pruning: Trim once or twice a year (late spring and late summer) to maintain shape and encourage dense growth. Can be clipped into formal shapes or left for a more natural appearance.
Feeding: Apply a general-purpose fertiliser in spring to promote healthy growth.
