Planting & Care

Flamingo Willow thrives in containers or can be planted in the ground. Use a large pot with drainage holes and moisture-retentive compost for container growing. Position in full sun for the most vibrant pink colour, though it tolerates partial shade. Water regularly - willows prefer moist soil and should not be allowed to dry out completely. Feed container plants monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain the topiary shape and encourage fresh, colourful new growth. Remove any plain green shoots that appear to maintain variegation.
