Raspberry Plant – Rubus idaeus
There's nothing quite like stepping into the garden on a warm summer's day and picking a handful of sun-ripened raspberries straight from the cane. Our Rubus idaeus raspberry plants are supplied in pots, well-rooted and ready to establish quickly — whether you're planting into a raised bed, a border, or a large container on the patio.
Why Grow Raspberries?
- Incredibly productive – a single established cane can yield kilos of fruit each season
- Bee-friendly – the delicate white flowers are a magnet for pollinators throughout early summer
- Easy to grow – hardy, vigorous, and low-maintenance once established in the right spot
- Great for containers – compact cultivars thrive in large pots, perfect for smaller gardens and patios
- Deciduous – dies back in winter and returns reliably each spring
Planting & Care
Plant in a sunny, sheltered position in fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic soil (pH 6–6.5). Space canes 45cm apart and provide support with posts and wires. Water regularly during the growing season and mulch generously to retain moisture. Feed with a balanced fertiliser in early spring.
