Planting Instructions
Plant in full sun to partial shade in well-drained soil. Full sun produces the most vivid red new growth. Avoid waterlogged conditions. Dig a hole to the same depth as the root ball, position the frame upright, backfill firmly and water thoroughly.
Secure the frame to a wall, fence, or posts for stability. Water regularly throughout the first growing season. Feed with a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring. Trim lightly after the flush of red new growth (late spring/early summer) and again in late summer to maintain the pleached form.
