Growing Notes
Plant in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun with shelter from cold winds. Provide sturdy support such as wires, trellis, or pergola framework. Prune in midwinter to maintain shape and encourage fruiting spurs. In cooler climates, a south-facing wall or glasshouse will improve fruit ripening and sweetness.

Planting Instructions
Plant in spring or autumn in fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny, sheltered position. A south- or south-west-facing wall is ideal, particularly in cooler parts of the UK, as the reflected warmth improves fruit ripening and sweetness.
Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and to the same depth as the pot. Remove the plant from its container, gently loosen the roots, and position so the top of the root ball sits level with the surrounding soil. Backfill, firm in well, and water thoroughly. Plant at least 30cm away from a wall to allow roots to access moisture.
Provide sturdy support — wires, trellis, or a pergola framework. Tie in new growth regularly during the growing season. Prune in midwinter (December–January) when the vine is fully dormant to avoid bleeding. Water regularly during the first growing season and mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Supplied as a container-grown plant in a 2 litre or 5 litre pot. Plants are well-rooted and ready to establish. Ultimate spread and height variable depending on training and support — can reach 6m or more on a large structure. Growth rate vigorous once established.
For fan training against a wall, allow 3–4m of horizontal space. For pergola or arch coverage, one plant will typically cover 2–3m of structure within 3–5 years.
