Planting Instructions
Plant Variegated Yucca (Yucca gloriosa ‘Variegata’) in full sun in sharply drained soil. Avoid frozen or waterlogged ground and places that remain wet in winter. Water the rootball before planting, dig a hole wider than the rootball and plant at the existing soil level without burying the crown. Backfill, firm gently and water in.
For containers, use a stable pot with drainage holes and a suitable free-draining growing medium. Water during establishment and prolonged dry spells, checking container plants regularly, but never leave roots standing in water. Protect young and container-grown plants during severe frost and prolonged winter wet. Remove dead leaves carefully without damaging the crown. Wear gloves, long sleeves and eye protection because the leaf tips are sharp.
