Hawthorn Bare Root Hedging Package Deal
Crataegus monogyna is a classic native British hedging plant prized for its stunning spring blossom, wildlife value, and hardy nature. This complete package includes 25 bare root plants (60-90cm tall), 25 spiral tree guards, and 25 canes. Available November to April during the optimal bare root planting season.
Why Choose This Package?
This complete hedging package provides everything you need to establish a traditional Hawthorn hedge. Hawthorn creates a classic British hedgerow with masses of nectar-rich white flowers in spring that signal warmer, longer days. By autumn, the hedge produces bright red haw berries rich in antioxidants, providing essential food for migrating birds such as redwings, fieldfares, and thrushes, as well as small mammals. The dense, thorny foliage makes fantastic nesting shelter for many bird species. The included spiral guards and canes protect young plants from wildlife damage and provide support during establishment.
