Planting & Care

Plant Acer campestre 'Elegans' in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Full sun produces the best variegation and autumn colour. Space appropriately for its mature size of 4-6m height and spread. Water regularly during the first two years to establish a strong root system. Mulch around the base to retain moisture. Minimal pruning required - only remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches in late winter.
