Damson Tree: Prunus Insititia: Merryweather

Merryweather is a large and vigorous spreading damson tree. Its bluey-black fruits are used during late summer, normally for cooking purposes. It is self fertile so it does not require another tree to cross pollinate for fruit. This tree generally likes a sheltered but sunny spot.
