Planting Instructions

Plant in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Tolerates most soil types including clay. Excellent in large containers with quality loam-based compost, or planted in formal borders. Avoid waterlogged conditions.

Water regularly during the first growing season. Feed with a balanced fertiliser in spring. Trim lightly in late summer to maintain the pyramidal crown shape. Stake securely if planted in the ground. 'Pyramidalis' is self-fertile and will produce berries without a separate male pollinator.

Size & Specification

Supplied at approximately 120cm overall height including pot. Half standard form with a clear stem and naturally upright, pyramidal crown. 'Pyramidalis' is a self-fertile cultivar. Slow to moderate growth rate. Fully hardy throughout the UK. Fully evergreen.

Delivery & Dispatch

Dispatched within 3–5 working days via overnight courier in protective packaging. Plants are carefully packaged to protect the shape and foliage during transit. Please ensure someone is available to receive the delivery.

Wildlife & Ecological Notes

A native species with excellent wildlife value. Small white flowers in spring attract bees and other pollinators. Red berries in autumn and winter provide a critical food source for thrushes, blackbirds, redwings, and fieldfares. As a self-fertile cultivar, 'Pyramidalis' reliably produces berries without a male pollinator nearby. The dense evergreen crown provides excellent shelter and nesting cover for garden birds.
