Wildlife & Ecological Notes

Ligustrum ovalifolium produces clusters of small white, fragrant flowers in midsummer that are highly attractive to bees, hoverflies, and other pollinators. The dense foliage provides year-round nesting cover and shelter for garden birds. Rounded black berries in autumn are taken by thrushes and other berry-feeding birds. One of the best value wildlife hedging plants for UK gardens.
