Prunus serrulata 'Kanzan' - Flowering Cherry Tree

'Kanzan' is a medium sized vase-shaped tree in its youth. It has beautiful 5cm wide double flowers ranging in shades of colours between pinks and purples. It has coppery-bronze young foliage in contrast to the brightly pink coloured blossom in spring. The flowers provide an excellent source for pollinators. It is also a great low maintenance tree for a feature in the garden. It can tolerate an exposed or sheltered spot preferably in a full sun location.
